AFMASS FoodTech Eastern Africa Uganda edition is the first substantive regular food, beverage and milling industry trade conference and exhibition to be held in Uganda, covering the entire sector of the industry – from milling, dairy, beverages, meat, poultry and fish, bakery, horticulture, coffee etc.

It will comprise 3 days of capacity building conference sessions and an Expo Hall where the A-Z of milling, processing, packaging, ingredients, food safety supply chain and other products and services will be found in one location.

Uganda is the gateway to the area referred to as the Great Lakes region, one of Africa’s areas with vast opportunities in food manufacturing due to abundant rainfall, high agricultural productivity and young, rising populations.

AFMASS Eastern Africa – Uganda edition brings together delegates and visitors from across the following countries: Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania and other sub-Saharan African countries.

AFMASS FoodTech Eastern Africa Uganda edition will cover the most critical technologies and trends that resonate with the food, beverage and milling industry in Eastern Africa and the Great Lakes region. 

The event aims at providing the platform where the private sector, Government, academic institutions, NGOs and development partners shall thrash out ways to boost the regions’ capacity to add value to its vast agricultural produce and other food products to meet the needs of a growing, young and rapidly urbanising population.

The event is structured to provide delegates and exhibitors with an excellent networking opportunity through a high-level conference, which runs in parallel to a trade exhibition, where a number of local, regional and international suppliers will showcase appropriate technologies to the region.

The Conference sessions shall bring together 500+ regional and international delegates in daily conference and panel discussion sessions, that shall cover the most critical subject areas: investments and market trends; processing, milling, packaging and automation technologies; nutrition and health; sustainability, entrepreneurship, supply chain efficiencies and more.

A parallel exhibition, open to trade visitors, and where over 2000 visitors are expected over the three days, provide exhibitors and partners the opportunity to trade and reach out to the food industry in the broader Eastern Africa region.
